Immediately 17 conservation and countryside organisations, coordinated by Wildlife and Countryside Hyperlink, wrote to DEFRA’s George Eustice to name for correct measures to restrict burning on peat soils as a substitute of the government’s weak proposals.

The organisations comprise: RSPB, Wildlife Trusts, Nationwide Belief, Greenpeace, Buddies of the Earth, Plantlife, Butterfly Conservation, Rewilding Britain, Open Areas Society, Wild Justice, Marketing campaign for Nationwide Parks, Freshwater Habitats Belief, British Mountaineering Council, Environmental Investigation Company, League In opposition to Merciless Sports activities, Peoples Belief for Endangered Species and John Muir Belief.
