The Blackcap which was seen in my garden on 6 December didn’t present up once more till yesterday, four January, when it (or one other male Blackcap) spent a big a part of the center of the day on the fats balls. We got this relatively flashy fats ball feeder and this Blackcap appears to adore it – it sat in between the two sides of the coronary heart for ages yesterday scowling in any respect-comers.

He was again at this time and was accompanied, for some time, by a feminine Blackcap too. I’m guessing they are going to hold round for fairly some time, go lacking for Huge Garden Birdwatch, after which return.
